Accounting Manager

Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting team in providing accurate, complete, and timely financial information to management.  This position will manage and direct General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Revenue Audit functions.  The Accounting Manager must establish and improve accounting processes and controls, working closely & directly reporting to the Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide exceptional guest service to all customers. Supervise General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Revenue Audit and Payroll functions. Coordinate and manage the month-end close process through financial statement preparation and analysis. Reconciliation and analysis of P&L and B/S accounts. Design, implement and monitor accounting and internal control systems to ensure transactions are properly recorded and assets are safeguarded. Ensure compliance with sales and use tax and payroll tax requirements. Coordinate/ manage year-end audit and quarterly reviews; including work paper preparation. Provide ad-hoc management reporting as directed by the Director. Participate in ad-hoc finance projects as directed by the Director. Responsible for developing team knowledge and abilities to create the strongest team possible. This position will require wearing a uniform as established by casino policy.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience and/or training. Minimum 3 Years prior accounting supervisory experience is required. Working knowledge of the casino accounting preferred. CPA preferred.
