Executive Housekeeper

The  Executive Housekeeper oversees the upkeep, cleanliness and productivity of the hotel cleaning staff.   Must have a proven record of commitment and professionalism in meeting the challenges and pressures of a luxury hotel.    Possess an effective management style - problem solver; self starter; delegate responsibly, professional image, effective communicator, positive motivator and constant desire to improve self & operation.    

Essential Functions:

  • • Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
  • • Manage all housekeeping staff including hiring, scheduling, training and discipline of employees
  • • Implement housekeeping programs, policies and identify /implement new techniques in improving standards.
  • • Plans and assigns daily work assignments, checking on employee performance & work schedules, completing daily reports and spot checking entire facility.
  • • Analyze monthly budgets/costs, taking immediate positive measures to correct & improve.
  • • Consults with Hotel Director for requisitions of all policy changes and equipment needs.
  • • Personally check rooms, informing management & maintenance of any improvements needed.
  • • Be ready for unannounced inspections by members of the corporate staff, health inspector or AAA.   These inspections will be critical and all problems are to be corrected immediately.
  • • Responsible for maintaining, receiving and control of inventory.
  • • Maintain above average guest satisfaction scores
  • • Recognize the resort is a 24/hour 365 day a year operation and the responsibility of being in charges of the operation & employees regardless of the hour of day or day of week.   Minimum of 45 hours per week required


  • • 3-5 years Housekeeping Manger/Asst Mgr or relevant experience.
