Promotions & Special Events Coordinator

Marketing

Summary:

Develop, maintain, and coordinate all marketing promotions, special events, and social media. Assists with all aspects of marketing, advertising, and entertainment.   

Essential Functions:

  • • Creates, plans, and implements all promotions and special events.
  • • Responsible for all social media including calendar planning, content creation, scheduling and posting, page management and analytics tracking.
  • • Creates, plans, and sets up all promotional displays.
  • • Orders and/or prepares purchase orders for all promotions and special events.
  • • Prepares an analysis on all promotions and special events.
  • • Manages and coordinates promotions and special events with Resort Club and other affected departments.
  • • Writes, submits, and follows up on approvals for all IRGC submitted rules.  
  • • Prepares and distributes information on promotions to all departments.
  • • Resolves customer complaints and issues via letter, phone calls, email, and/or personal meetings.
  • • Assist with all advertising and entertainment, when needed.  
  • • Assist the Resort Club, when needed.
  • • Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • • Ensures proper department uniform, appearance, and grooming standards are followed.
  • • Complies with all Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
  • • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • • Attends all company required training.
  • • Adheres to all safety guidelines.
  • • Meets company attendance requirements.
  • • Required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • • Other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • • Degree or college courses in marketing, advertising, or public relations.
  • • One to three years of marketing, advertising, and/or public relations experience.
  • • Knowledge of various Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to Excel and Word.
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • • Ability to multi-task and have exceptional organizational skills.
