Slot Attendant

We accept walk-in interviews every Thursday (non-holiday) from 1 PM until 4 PM.




Position requires the individual to thoroughly understand the company’s goals & objectives, policies & procedures, operational protocols and ensure they are properly followed through. The Slot Attendant is responsible for assisting guests with answers to questions for, but not limited to, the use of Resort Club cards, payouts on the machine, promotions, events, locations of amenities and machines, etc. The Slot Attendant will also be responsible for stocking machines with tickets, completing Slot Dept. request forms for jackpots/hand-pays and paying some per departmental guidelines. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately paying out slot machine jackpots and completing all paperwork.
  • Servicing minor slot machine malfunctions.
  • Stocking tickets in the machines.
  • Able to perform basic machine preventive maintenance.
  • Verifying change bank impress totals, preparing paperwork, closing and opening banks.
  • Knowing slot machine code errors.
  • Maintains a constant presence throughout the casino floor in order to assist guests on how to play and read the machines.
  • Complete necessary sign in-out sheets for radios/keys.
  • Understanding and following proper procedures for radio usage.
  • Safeguard the assets of the company.
  • Ensures proper department uniform, appearance and grooming standards are followed.
  • Attends all company required training.
  • Complies with all Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission rules and regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines that apply.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines.
  • Meets company attendance requirements.
  • May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and/or interpret simple sentences in English.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to listen to and resolve customer complaints.
  • Must be able to work cohesively with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Ability to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude towards customers, co-workers and other departmental staff.


  • Valid IRGC license
