COVID-19

Visitor Information

We are closely monitoring the state of Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) Guidelines, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, as well as working with local Health Departments, and will continue to make changes as necessary to our protocols and procedures. This program has been developed in consultation with our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. David Nacos.

We are taking steps to keep our guests, employees, and our community safe as we reopen for business in accordance with Iowa law. The health and safety of our employees and guests is our number one priority.

General Guidelines While Visiting

As recommended by the CDC and the Governor, those at high risk for more severe COVID-19 illness should please stay home.

As recommended by the Governor, members of the public should consider the use of masks/cloth face coverings (when practical), if staying at least 6 feet away from others not in your group is not possible.

Please maintain the appropriate physical distancing. This includes restaurants, hotel, elevator lobbies, retail shops, and The Spa.

Currently, our casino, restaurants, retail shops, and The Spa are limited to 50% capacity as required by the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.

Reservations are required in certain outlets and service is temporarily modified to accommodate Iowa Department of Public Health and Department of Inspection and Appeals guidelines.

Frequent hand washing or sanitizing is recommended while visiting our facility.

Training

All employees are trained on the new COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols including: enhanced cleaning processes, Stay at Home Guidelines, Mask Wearing, Social Distancing, Hand Washing and other hygiene requirements.

Masks & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Guests are encouraged to wear masks if you are not able to maintain the 6 foot social distancing guidelines with those outside of your group. Employees will wear masks in public spaces unless barriers are in place between them and the public providing social distancing. Appropriate PPE will be worn by employees based on their role and responsibilities and in adherence to state or local regulations and guidance.

Gloves

Employees will wear gloves based on position and duty. Gloves will be worn by employees whose responsibilities require them, as determined by medical experts.

Hand Washing

All employees have been instructed on when and how to properly wash their hands, or use sanitizer when a sink is not available.

Sanitizers

Hand sanitizers and wipes are located throughout the facility for guests and employees. Cleansing wipes are machine safe and acceptable to use on most equipment around the property.

Stay At Home Guidelines

Guests and employees are advised to stay home if answering yes to any one of these questions:

  • Do you have a running nose, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing or any other respiratory symptom?
  • Do you have a fever of 100℉ or above?
  • Do you feel sick?
  • Do you know you have you been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
Security

Security Officers will assist our guests and employees with the new safety procedures and protocols.

Cleaning

We've enhanced our already stringent cleaning regimen and placed signage to keep everyone mindful of social distancing and other CDC and Health Department guidelines. We use cleaning products and protocols which meet EPA guidelines and are effective against viruses, bacteria and other airborne pathogens. We place an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces including, but not limited to, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, hallway handrails, room locks, and stair handrails.

Our casino has an advanced air filtration system that brings in fresh outside air over 10.5 times every hour allowing us to provide air quality up to double or more what a doctor's office and treatment room are required to have.

Detailed Procedures

Cleaning
  • Bathrooms will be deep cleaned throughout the day.
  • Electronic items like ATM's will be cleaned and disinfected routinely and guests may use the machine safe wipes around property if desired.
  • Our employees will perform intense cleaning and sanitizing on all tools and equipment before, during and after each shift or anytime the equipment is transferred to a new employee.
  • Dining tables, bar tops, stools, chairs and all other reusable items will be sanitized after each use.
  • Restaurant menus will be single use and disposable.
  • Food preparation stations will be sanitized frequently.
  • Kitchens to be deep cleaned and sanitized daily.
  • Shared tools and equipment will be sanitized before, during, and after each shift.
Casino
  • Our capacity is currently restricted to 50% of available positions.
    • We will monitor casino counts to the approved capacity and limit access once the casino hits maximum capacity.
    • Our security team will invite new guests in line to come in as other guests leave the casino.
    • Signs are posted for all to maintain social distancing while in line.
    • During this time, large bags and backpacks are prohibited.
    • If you choose to wear a mask, we will ask you to briefly lower your mask as you pass through security for identity verification.
  • Some slot machines are rearranged to space them further apart, social distancing is encouraged through signage, and some machines will be placed temporarily out of service to maintain social distancing guidelines.
  • Table game opening date is still under review as we await additional guidance from the state of Iowa prior to re-opening our table games.
  • Guests are encouraged through posted signage, to use hand sanitizer and machine safe sanitizing wipes prior to play. These are available throughout the casino.
  • Our casino has an advanced air filtration system that brings in fresh outside air over 12 times every hour making it double or more what a doctor’s office and treatment room are required to have.
Food and Beverage
  • Pursuant to the Governor's declaration and IDPH guidance, self-service food is eliminated until further notice.
  • Food & Beverage outlets are limited to 50% occupancy per the current guidelines from the Iowa Department of Public Health and Department of Inspection and Appeals.
  • Drinking fountains are temporarily closed.
  • Groups are limited to no more than 10 people.
  • All food items will be individually plated and served.
  • Condiments to be served in individual packets or sanitized individual containers.
  • Refilling cups is prohibited. New cups are to be used for additional beverages.
  • All food and beverage items to be placed on the table, counter, or other surface instead of handed directly to a guest.
  • We have reduced seating to meet social distancing guidelines of 6 feet of separation.
  • Our hosts and managers will manage social distancing and help employees and guests adhere to the 6 foot requirement. Please let a host or manager know if you have concerns about social distancing.
  • We will limit reservations or adjust line queuing during peak periods to maintain social distancing.
Hotel
  • Business center, pool and hot tub are temporarily closed.
  • An employee will sanitize the button panels at regular intervals in all elevators.
  • Elevator occupancy will be limited to four people at a time.
  • Housekeeping services will be provided on check-out only (no stay over service).
  • For stays over 3 days, a hotel representative will access the room for wellness check purposes.
  • We will not offer turn down service.
  • Extra pillows and blankets will not be in rooms but available upon request.
  • Room service requests are unavailable but you may call any of the restaurants directly from your room and arrange a carry out order.
  • Self-service ice machines will be unavailable.
  • All bed linen and laundry will be changed daily and continue to be washed at a high temperature and in accordance with CDC guidelines.
Spa
  • Spa employees will wear face shields and masks while performing services.
  • Services will be provided on an appointment basis only.
  • Services may be reduced by 10 minutes and appointments will be staggered to allow for additional cleaning in between each guest.
  • Spa hot tubs and some other amenities are temporarily suspended.
  • The Spa will be limited to 50% occupancy pending further state of Iowa guidelines.
  • Clients of the spa must sign an intake form with health screening questions pursuant to the requirements of the Iowa Department of Public Health.
Entertainment
  • We will continue to offer fantastic live entertainment.
  • The Governor's declaration requires social distancing and occupancy restrictions are in effect for the show lounge area at this time. Visit our website for upcoming performance schedules.
  • Seating and service rules are temporarily modified in the performance lounge.
Retail Outlets
  • Retail outlets will be limited to 50% occupancy pending further CDC guidelines.
  • Displays and retail assortments will be limited.
  • All sales final until further notice (including phone orders).
Golf
  • Guests should maintain a minimum of a six foot space between themselves and other guests at all times.
  • Golf Carts will be sanitized between uses.
  • One person per cart unless guests live together.
  • Guests may walk and carry their own clubs.
  • Guests will leave flagsticks in the hole.
  • Golf clubhouse will be limited to 50% occupancy pending further CDC guidelines.
  • The following amenities and items will be unavailable/prohibited until further notice:
